This is from the KingstonWhig Standard …David Suzuki answers questions on wind energy. He’s in Kingston for a big Wind Power Conference
Q: How do we address the concerns about the location of the wind turbines and their impact on birds and other wildlife?
A: There are arguments that they do kill birds and they do kill birds. What we’ve got to do is map all of the wind options across the province and then we’ve got to choose our sites so that we don’t endanger wildlife. If there are esthetic reasons, we’ve got to take that into account. If there are setbacks that are needed, we’ve got to take that into consideration. I think the big objection is the large numbers of turbines in one area. I would much rather see them distributed [more sparsely.] A farmer might have one and his neighbour might have one.
Gee, Thanks, Suzuki. You finally acknowledge a problem now that every significant migratory route and eight IBAs in SW Ontario have already been signed away forever to the wind industry??!

Where were you two years ago when there was still a chance to bring some sanity to this? I believe you were spending your time bad-mouthing us “NIMBYs” who were desperately trying to bring this issue to the forefront. Yup, Thanks for NOTHING! The damage has only just begun.
You’ve let big business take the reins of your “green crusade” and there’s no saving these sensitive areas now. Do you think for one minute these slimeballs care about the environment or people? No, this is all about the $$$$

I have no words for this. Well, I have words but I’m sure you wouldn’t allow them to be posted here. Thanks a lot Suzuki. You need to come live here when the monstrosities are put up. Environmentalist my butt.
Wow Suzuki finally admits what we have been saying all along. What a sham this is!All so that the Liberals can garner the Green Vote. They are in the process of totally selling out Windsor and Essex County(as they have done many times before)for the Greater good of Hogtown.I think we should take our frustrations out at the ballot box.Dwight Duncan started this fiasco and he must be made to pay next election,if not sooner.
Both Suzuki and Elizabeth May say wind turbines shouldn’t be placed near migration routes or too close to people. Both are liars, and neither gives a damn.
This is all based on Agenda 21, spawned by elitist
psychopaths. Suzuki and May are foot soldiers for the Agenda.
Their intent is to drive people from the country and into cities.
The planners are will schooled in the art of Agenda 21 policy.
A councilor from Ripley Ont., who voted for the wind farm and has a turbine on her property, is now living in Kincardine.
When she goes to the farm she suffers from both headaches and nosebleeds.
I can only hope that every councilor that voted in favor of wind turbines suffers the same fate.
The people of this province have no representation, we have been fed to the wolves. We would be facing the same thing regardless of which party won the election.
We have allowed our democracy to be taken from us, and most never saw it coming.
In closing, I would like to leave you with a couple of thoughts from the late great George Carlin, who spent his entire career encouraging people to think.
“people will probably remain willfully ignorant” and
“nobody seems to notice, nobody seems to care”
RIP Mr. Carlin.
If you haven’t read Agenda 21, I have a link from my blog that was written by a planner. He was concerned by the required use of certain language in the planning policies. A very insightful read.
Also a video of Carlin talking about environmentalists. He pulls no punches.

Now we must fight the “Greenshirts” and they are just as,
if not more, evil.
